Crane Through Concrete

This set of fantantastic photos was sent in my Mining Mayhem's No. 1 fan, Owen. Brand new $4M Gillespies' crane, nine days old.

As soon as the jib was extended on the crane, one of the support legs punched through the thin concrete. Someone obviously forgot to check the non-distributed load capacity of the slab.

The crane balanced for about an hour before falling through.
That sound you hear is the insurance assessors screaming.
Thanks Owen, for sending these through!
